Simple Recipe To Prepare Vitamin C Serum For Anti-Aging

If you are despairing about those wrinkles that have started to appear on your face, then this is for you. There are several anti-aging creams that are quite effective in removing wrinkles and restoring your skin to its former glory. But, the problem is it might take a few trials before you zero in on the one that suits your skin type. And there is also the fact that these creams tend to be quite expensive. But, you can make your own anti-aging vitamin C serum at home at practically no cost. The upside to this is that you put something on your skin that is free from harmful chemicals. The downside is that Vitamin C has a short shelf life and you will have to make new batches frequently, preferable every 3 to 5 days.

Here Are These:

Supplies Needed:

You will need 1 teaspoon of Vitamin C powder, distilled water, 1 teaspoon glycerine and about 1/8 spoon of Vitamin E. You will also require a dark glass bottle to store the serum as Vitamin C oxidizes quickly. The glycerin and Vitamin E are optional ingredients that are not mandatory for making this serum. You will also need a pH strip for making sure that the serum is effective.

Supplies Needed

Combine Vitamin C And water:

Combine 1 teaspoon of Vitamin C powder with about 1 tablespoon of water. If you are using only these two ingredients your serum is done. Vitamin C is acidic in nature and hence adding too much powder might burn your skin. If your skin burns after application, remove the serum immediately from the skin and dilute it by adding a little more water.

Add Optional Ingredients:

If you are using glycerine and Vitamin E, you can reduce the amount of water. In this case, combine 1 teaspoon each of Vitamin C powder and water and add 1 teaspoon of glycerine and a tiny bit of Vitamin E. Combine all the ingredients and store in a dark bottle.

Test PH:

You can test pH of your Vitamin C serum by using the pH strip. The pH of the serum should be about 3.5 in order to obtain maximum benefits.

Usage:

Apply the Vitamin C serum on your face after cleansing it. Slight tingling is to be expected upon application of the serum. You can use this serum on the back of your hands as well. Vitamin C increases the production of collagen which in turn improves skin elasticity thereby reducing wrinkles. It also lightens the skin tone, reduces dark spots and neutralizes free radicals.
