Indian Bridal Eye Makeup

Since the bride and the bridegroom are going to be the center of attraction on their wedding day so there are lots of things to be taken care of. If we talk about eyes of a bride, the foremost thing applicable is to take a sound sleep at night and turn off your lights on time. Another best starting specifically for your bridal eye makeup is to get the eyebrows done nicely just a day before your wedding ceremonies begin. Before starting with the makeup part, it is better to have all the products and the eye makeup tools ready with you. You should only go with water proof eye makeup products to avoid being spread with sweat or tears.

Let’s Get Started With Bridal Eye Makeup Guide:

Apply Foundation

When we say apply foundation, it is understood that you would be moisturizing your face completely including your neck part and then applying foundation over the same area. Here starts the eye makeup once the base has been set. Please make sure you pick the foundation color depending upon your skin color and your skin type.

Apply Foundation

Use Concealer

Usually we all have dark circles under eyes and dark spots around them. Use a good quality concealer to conceal all those dark patches and make sure you choose the right color tone matching your skin color. You may also apply primer powder on your eyes but it’s optional, some like it, some don’t. Don’t go with glossy concealers, prefer matte shades or in-between.

Use Concealer

Eye Shadow Color

Choose eye shadow color wisely matching with your wedding dress. If confused, you may go for smoky eyes with black color or simple black color will also work. Prefer moving from inside to outside and give multiple strokes at the end of the eyes. If you are using a darker shade, the strokes have to be less as compared to the number of strokes for lighter shade. If interested in applying shimmer, skip this eye shadow color step entirely and go with only shimmer (next step).

Shimmer

Some also like applying shimmer on the lower half part of the eye lids and then a contrast shimmer eye shade on the upper half part of the eye lid. Blend them well in the center so that there remains no beeline in the center of the eye lid and make it look odd. Avoid using darker shades on the lower half part of the eye lids because your dark circles and patches may appear prominently even after hiding them with concealer. Prefer shades of golden or copper.

Kajal or Eye Liner

Indian bridal eye makeup makes use of kajal if doing in traditional way. These days however, girls like applying eye liner also that are available in variety. Apply only a thin layer just along the eye line so that they appear well blended with your eye lashes. Choose black color or you may also try color variants depending upon the color of your costume.

Mascara

Thicken your eye lashes by applying double coats of mascara and use curler once the mascara dries up completely to shape your eye lashes. You may also choose to use false or artificial eye lashes or apply multiple coats of mascara to highlight them naturally. Prefer black mascara over transparent mascara for Indian bridal eye makeup.

Eyebrow Filling

Getting your eyebrows in shape isn’t all. Apply a dark black pencil color on your eyebrow to give them a deeper black look. If using brush please make sure you choose small smooth brush else the black color will get scattered all over. Do not experiment liquid black shade; prefer powder or a black pencil.

High Lightener

After you are done with your eye makeup, apply light matte shade to highlight the bone part below your eyes. You may highlight them slightly with a high lightener from inwards to outwards and the one matching your nearest skin color. Blend well with the skin below your eyes to avoid dark circles being disclosed or high lightened.
