1. Pigtail Buns

These are probably going to be the most adorable ones on the list! Moreover, they are super easy to do! Since they give off a messy look, you don’t really have to comb through your hair. They would look prettier with front bangs. If you don’t have bangs, no worries. To start off with, part your hair in the middle and tie a high ponytail on one end. Repeat the same on the other end. Well, you could even try a low pony, wherever you want to buns to be. Now, gather one pony, hold it high and tease the hair down to give it more volume and give it a messy look. Wrap this around the base of the ponytail to create a bun. Tuck in the strands and secure the end with bobby pins. Repeat the same on the other side of your hair. Pull out a few strands of hair at the front on both sides to give a messy look. You need not do this if you already have bangs.

2. Dutch Braid Pigtails

Now, these might seem pretty hard but don’t you worry! I’ll make it easy for you! Firstly, part your hair into two sections right at the middle. Then, take a small section of hair at the front and start doing the Dutch braid. In case you don’t know how to do the Dutch braid, here’s how it goes! Take three strands of your hair and cross one strand under the center one. While crossing the other strand again, add some hair to it. Remember to cross it from underneath and not over. Keep adding hair as you go down. When you run out of hair to insert to the braid, do the normal three stranded braided all the way down. Secure it with a rubber band. Pull at the braids to give a messy and fluffy look. Repeat the same on the other side of your hair.

3. Criss Cross Braid

Give your hair a fashionable look with these criss cross braids. Begin by parting your hair into two sections horizontally. Now, take the behind part and divide it in two vertically. To start the braid, begin by taking three strands of hair at the front. Do an inside out braid where you take the center strand and then it up and cross it over the other. Keep adding hair as you move diagonally to the center of the head. When you run out of the first part, start adding hair from the bottom opposite side. Again, when you run out of hair, do the regular three stranded braid all the way down. Secure it with an elastic. Now, move on to the other side of your hair and do the same. When you reach the middle, cross it over the other braid and take it all the way down and you’re done!

4. Bubble Braid

This is an easy one and I bet it’s gonna look adorable! Start by parting your hair in the middle. Now, take the other side and section off a very small part of hair and tie an elastic around it. Now, take another section of hair right below it, add the upper section and tie another elastic. You’ll get a bridge of the upper ponytail. Now, pull at it to give it more volume and to justify the term “bubble braid”. Now, take another section of hair below it and do the same, adding the upper section. Go on until you reach the base of the head. After this, just tie elastics at different intervals and pull at the middle sections as you go down. Repeat the same on the other side.

5. Fishtail Braid

The fishtail braid is a classy look that you could pull off at any occasion! For this, you need to make sure that your hair is free of knots since otherwise the braid would get tangled. Next, part your hair, to the side or middle, however you like it! Now, take some hair at the front and start doing the French braid. If you don’t know how to do one, it’s just like the Dutch braid except here, you’ll be crossing hair over and not under. Do this braid and keep adding hair as you move down. When you run out of hair to add, start doing the fishtail braid. For this, section the hair into two parts. Then take a strand from one section and cross it over to the other. Take a strand from the other section and do the same. Keep braiding this way until the end.

6. Double Heart Twists

The Double Heart Twists are perfect for your Valentine’s Day hair! You can part your hair in the middle with one of those zig zag partitions or the normal one, however you want it. And then, gather the hair into ponytails on both sides. Now, loosen the ponytail, take a topsy tail and insert it between the base of the ponytail and the head. You’ll be doing this backwards. Next, insert the ponytail into the loop and then pull out the topsy tail and flip it. After this, you have to divide the ponytail into two sections. Now, twist both the sections in opposite directions and gather them into a heart shape. Tie an elastic at the end of the heart. This might disturb the shape a little but you can reshape it. Secure the heart with bobby pins. Repeat the same on the other side of your hair.

7. Braided Crown

If you know the Dutch braid or the French braid, then you got this! Well, you could even go on with a normal braid! Partition your hair deeply to the side and then take a section of hair at the front on the larger section. From here, start doing the French braid, the Dutch braid or the regular three stranded braid, whichever you’re comfortable with. Keep the braid to the edge of the head and start moving downwards. Keep on adding hair as you do. Finally, stop adding hair when you run out of it and then do the regular braid and tie it up. Repeat the same on the other side of your hair. When you’re done, pull at the braids to give more volume. Go off to the side while parting as much as possible so that it actually looks like a crown. Put on some hairspray to keep the crown in place. This hair-do is ideal for short hair but you could pull it off on longer hair too.
