Including nutritious foods in diet is one way to reduce damage. Here are some excellent home remedies that will help you get over damaged hair.
You can apply raw organic honey mixed with water directly to your hair. Being an emollient, honey makes the hair naturally soft and smooth. Its antioxidant properties improve the health of the scalp and boost hair growth. It is also a humectant that prevent loss of moisture from hair and scalp thereby reducing hair fall. Its antiseptic and antibacterial properties prevents infectious diseases like psoriasis as well as dandruff. Damp your hair and apply this mixture to hair. Leave it on for half an hour and rinse off with warm water.
2. Aloe Vera
Being a natural humectant, aloe vera proves to be really beneficial for the hair. It contains amino acids, and essential vitamins E and C for promoting good hair growth. It also contains enzymes. Aloe vera has strong antibacterial as well as antifungal properties that remove dryness and itchy scalp – the two most prominent signs of damaged hair. You can apply aloe vera juice on your scalp directly or make an aloe vera hair mask by adding 4 tablespoonfuls of aloe vera gel with 2 tablespoons each of coconut oil and yogurt.
