Healthy hair is always in fashion. We go to hair salons for treatment but end up paying loads of money for something which lasts for a day or two. The main issues we suffer are lifeless hair, split ends, frizzy hair, hair fall, dandruff etc. So let us have a look into some easy homemade hair packs and tonics which will not only give us healthy hair but will also save a lot of money.

1. Glossy Hair:

Hibiscus gives a shine to hair. For this hair mask soak 1 cup of hibiscus flowers in water overnight. Mix half cup almond oil and five tablespoon yogurt to this soaked mixture. Apply this directly on scalp and let it remain for 30 minutes. Wash it of with a mild shampoo. This will give hair a glossy look.

2. Damage Free Hair:

Onion has sulphur and it promotes hair growth and helps in maintaining healthy hair. Take some juice of an onion in a cup and apply the juice with the help of a cotton ball on the scalp. Let it remain for 15 minutes. Wash it off with water and mild shampoo. This method will also promote hair growth.

3. Bouncy Hair:

To make curly hair look more bouncy a cumin hair pack can be made. For this pack mix half cup olive oil and half cup castor oil. Mix half tablespoon cumin powder to this. Apply this mixture on hair and wash it off after 15 minutes. This will make hair bouncy and shiny as well.

4. Frizz Free Hair:

Separate an egg white and add 2 tablespoon of vinegar and half teaspoon honey to it. Whisk this mixture gently. Apply this to the roots of your hair. Soak a towel in hot water and squeeze out the excess water carefully. Wrap this warm towel on your hair for 20 to 25 minutes. Wash it off with a mild shampoo.

5. Dandruff-Free Hair:

Dandruff not only causes itching but it also weakens the hair from its roots. To treat dandruff mix two tablespoon lemon juice, two tablespoon olive oil and two tablespoon water. Apply this mixture directly on scalp. Wash it off after 20 minutes. This mixture can be applied twice a week.

6. Hair Fall:

Hair fall can be climatic or it can happen if hair is not healthy. To make hair stronger boil curry leaves in two cups of water. Strain this mixture after cooling. Mix quarter cup of coconut oil to this drained leaves. Apply this mixture on scalp and wash it of after 30 minutes.This will significantly reduce hair fall.

7. Healthy Scalp:

Ginger is good for maintaining a healthy scalp. In two tablespoons of olive oil mix 2 to 3 teaspoons of ginger juice. Apply this directly on scalp and let it remain for 20 minutes. Wash it off with a herbal shampoo.

8. Split Ends:

To avoid getting split ends at the ends of our hair, it is important to condition your hair in a proper way. After washing hair with a shampoo tie your air in a pony tail. Apply conditioner liberally on the ends. Let it remain for 2 to 3 minutes. Wash it off gently.

Indian goose berry or amla is a great source of vitamin C and it helps in increasing hair growth. Take one cup of amla juice and mix 2-3 tablespoons of lemon juice to it. This method can be done during weekends. Cook some cubes of ridged gourd (tori) with coconut oil on low flame. Apply this mixture on scalp when completely cooled. Wash it off after one hour. This will make hair shiny and soft.
